Here’s a short clip of myself conducting a piece I composed and orchestrated for a small orchestra! Recorded at East West Studios in Hollywood, CA, this snippet showcases some of the creative process. The instrumentation was limited but I had a lot of fun writing around those limitations.

Instruments featured:

Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, Horn, Trumpet, Tenor Trombone, 2 Violins I, 2 Violins II, 2 Violas, 2 Violoncello, Contrabass.

I’ve titled this piece “Aurum,” roughly translating to “Gold” in Latin. The name serves as a nod to the Gold Rush and the Wild West, which inspired my fictional narrative behind the composition.

This was the 3rd take while rehearsing the piece. I hope you enjoy!
